The Office of Title IX invites applicants for a Graduate Assistant position who will assist the Title IX staff in their Title IX commitment, which emphasizes five key areas: policy, prevention and education, supportive measures, investigations and resolutions, and monitoring patterns and trends.
Position Description
Reporting to the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Prevention, Training & Evaluation, the Graduate Assistant is responsible for assisting with ongoing prevention, training, education, and assessment along with special projects and other duties as assigned as related to the overall mission of the Office of Title IX.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have the following:
- enrollment in graduate school at UT (preference given to students pursuing a degree in social work, public health, or related degree)
- evidence of strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- desire to learn and develop as a professional
- desire to work in a creative and engaging team environment
- desire to build collaborative educational efforts and a commitment to create positive change
- ability to take initiative and work on assigned projects
Successful candidates will have the following responsibilities:
- identify and support targeted areas of interest within the Office of Title IX, such as assessment, programming, engagement, grant writing, etc.
- attend and serve on various university committees
