Teaching & Learning Innovation, OIT Support, and Teaching & Learning Technologies are hosting a Classroom Transformations workshop titled ‘How Gen Z Envisions Higher Education and Tech in a Post-Covid World.’ This virtual workshop will be on Thursday, October 31 at 2PM-3:30PM.
After the global interruption of the last few years, Gen Z students’ expectations about the relationship between higher education and themselves have changed. This workshop will focus on the change in student expectations and what strategies and resources, especially when using technology in the online and in-person classroom, can be used to meet the new normal in higher education.
Workshop attendees will leave the workshop able to:
- Develop a toolbox of technology resources to use in their classrooms and/or student interactions.
- Describe the changing expectations, attitudes, and needs of incoming Gen Z university students and how their higher education experience may be affected.
- Articulate strategies and resources to help meet the changes in higher education courses.
