Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week (GPSAW) continues until March 31 and there are many opportunities to celebrate graduate and professional students at UT.
Tonight is Graduate Student Appreciation Night @ Vols Baseball, where graduate and professional students can gather and enjoy a night of baseball at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Graduate and professional students can acquire a ticket from athletics by showing your student ID today at the ticket office.
Tomorrow from 1:30-3pm in Student Union 169 is the 2023 Three Minute Thesis Final Competition, where twelve graduate and professional students will be presenting their research, each one with only three minutes and a single slide. This is a great time to hear about amazing research projects and to support the work our students do.
On Thursday from 5-7pm, there’s Gather in the Gardens, where there will be games, activities, snacks, ice cream and from 5-6 there will be yoga, all right there in the UT Gardens. This event is co-sponsored by graduate student organizations from Plant Sciences and Entomology and Plant Pathology.
On Friday from 1-3 you can learn more about the Graduate Student Senate, the voice for graduate and professional students on campus. And from 3-6pm, you can visit the Pride Center for a T-Shirt Tie Dye.
All throughout the week, units are offering professional development opportunities for graduate students, including how to market yourself with social media, how to write a diversity statement, how to give and receive feedback, how to transform a paper or chapter into a publishable article, and how to explore opportunities in two-year colleges.
Have a great week, and Go Grad Vols!
