Alexandria Brown currently serves as the Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator for the Graduate School. She is responsible for many of the day-to-day outreach and recruitment events. In her role, she will be collaborating with the graduate academic departments, and developing new strategies for growing the overall number of applications, as well as diversifying the graduate/professional student applicant pool. She will be assisting with support services to student groups with the intention of creating a more inclusive student experience.

Brown moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, in 2010 and began her employment at UT in the same year. Prior to her position in the Graduate School, she held administrative positions in the Tickle College of Engineering and the College of Arts and Sciences. She has earned a BA in history from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro and an MA in sociology from UT.
