On October 9, 2024, Teaching and Learning Innovation will be hosting a virtual session entitled, “Teardrops on my Assessments: Reframing Critical Thinking Skills in Higher Education.” This session, which is from 2-3pm EDT, is designed to equip higher education faculty (both current and future) with innovative strategies to foster critical thinking skills among students. Participants will explore the latest pedagogical research and practical applications that encourage students to question, analyze, and synthesize information beyond the classroom.

Throughout this series, participants will learn how to communicate the deeper purpose of higher education—cultivating intellectual growth and preparing students for the world’s complexities. Through dynamic discussions and reflective exercises, this series will inspire new teaching approaches and reinforce the faculty’s life-changing impact on students’ academic and professional futures.
