Title IX Training Opportunity

The Office of Title IX is excited to announce a new training opportunity for Graduate Students at the University of Tennessee called the Sexual Assault Prevention for Graduates. This online course is a part of UT’s comprehensive approach to health and wellness education and creating a safe campus for students. The course takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. The course provides students with information to make well-informed decisions about:

  • Values & Relationships: Allows learners to reflect on relationships and sexual violence and introduces bystander intervention strategies they can use if they believe a friend is being abused.
  • Sexual Harassment & Stalking: Depicts sexual harassment scenarios that are common to academia and reviews relevant state stalking laws.
  • Consent and Taking Action: Explores the differences between coercion and consent, and what it means for an individual to clearly give consent.
  • Reporting & Responding to Survivors: Explore the concept of consent and present learners with strategies to support survivors,  including reporting options.
