Sophia works as an admissions specialist for the Office of Graduate Admissions at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her role is to provide support for applying for a graduate program at UT and help them move through the application process smoothly.  She hopes to continue her career in higher education and is excited to see how she can grow alongside her Vol family.

Sophia earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She minored in sociology and African, African American, and diaspora studies. Through her studies, Sophia has gained an even greater passion for learning more about people and how she can be a resource to others.

Aside from work, Sophia enjoys spending her time exploring new cities, finding fun events to attend in Knoxville, checking out the latest movie release, and building Lego sets.
