Heather Ivey is an admissions specialist in the Office of Graduate Admissions at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her duties include the recruitment and admission of international students into various programs. Heather has a passion for helping others and brings international experience to the Graduate Admissions team.

Heather joined the Admissions Team in January 2024. Before accepting the position with UT, Heather lived abroad in Thailand for 21 years and worked in an Education Group for 10 years with over 2,500 students as the public relations and communications director and foreign admissions director. Heather speaks, reads, and writes Thai as a second language. 

Heather earned her MS in communication and information with a focus on strategic and digital communications from UT, and a BA in international business management from Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She is passionate about education and enjoys working with the UT community.

Outside of work, she enjoys Hallmark movies, volunteering in activities with youth, reading, singing, spending time with family and friends, and continuing her Thai language skills.
