PEER Hosts a Stress Management for Graduate Students Workshop

On Saturday, October 27, PEER (Program for Excellence and Equity in Research) is hosting a stress management workshop for graduate students. The event will take place at 9:00 a.m. and will go to 11:30 a.m. in the Frieson Black Cultural Center Multipurpose Room.

The stress management workshop is designed to help participants address stress by providing a practical discussion of the physiology of stress, the difference between positive stress and negative stress, and how to reframe preconceived ideas about stress to minimize its negative impact.

Participants will also address negative stress by learning and practicing personal stress reduction techniques, and by learning how to create and foster productive environments for themselves and others that allow for successful stress management.
