Denise Sears

Denise Sears is often the first contact in the Office of Graduate Admissions. She communicates with a variety of audiences including applicants, students, and faculty and staff from graduate programs. Denise responds to phone calls and e-mails and assists visitors. Her goal is to provide the kind of customer service that will result in applicants, students, and faculty and staff getting their questions answered or issues resolved. In addition, when applicants have transcripts submitted to the Office of Graduate Admissions by mail, Denise verifies their authenticity. She began working in the Office of Graduate Admissions in 2006. 

Denise also serves as the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Student Services and Communication and University Extension buildings.  She is currently working toward obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.

Outside of work and school, Denise enjoys researching her family genealogy, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family.
