Strong collaboration between the Graduate School and UT faculty is critical in ensuring graduate student success. The Graduate School is excited to announce the Graduate School Faculty Fellows Program (GSFP), which is designed to take those partnerships to a new level. Our first cohort of faculty fellows for spring 2026 will work closely with Graduate School leadership and staff to improve processes and implement solutions that benefit UT graduate students. Together, we can strengthen the support we provide, allowing students to achieve their goals and carry the Volunteer spirit forward.
Each of our fellows will bring their expertise to bear on specific aspects of the work of the Graduate School. They have each been chosen for their experience working with graduate students and their continued partnerships with the Graduate School.

Graduate School Fellow for Policy Audit and Improvement
Administrative policies are key to creating efficient, effective, and equitable pathways to graduate student success. Angela Wozencroft currently serves as the Director of Graduate Studies for graduate programs in the Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies. As the Graduate School Fellow for Policy Audit and Improvement, she will take a deep dive into Graduate School policies to locate points where improvements can be made in clarity, fairness, transparency, and efficiency.

Graduate School Fellow for Graduate Handbook Template and Program Communication for Graduate Students
Graduate student handbooks are an important reference for graduate students in their departments. They ensure that students understand the expectations and requirements that lead to success. Jeanie Lim, professor in the Department of Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism Management, will serve as the Graduate School Fellow for Graduate Handbook Template and Program Communication for Graduate Students. By working with the Graduate School to empower departments to build effective handbooks, she will help us all raise the level of clear communication between departments and graduate students.

Graduate School Fellow for Graduate Education Data and Analytics
The development of successful solutions and policies relies upon having access to accurate and illustrative data. This is where Mehmet Aydeniz, professor in the Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education, comes in. As Graduate School Fellow for Graduate Education Data and Analytics, he will lead a comprehensive review of graduate education-related data at UT. This review will allow the Graduate School to work with other UT offices to make critical data available for making decisions. This is not just about getting access to data we already have, but collecting new essential metrics and developing strategies for managing it all.

Graduate School Fellow for Director of Graduate Studies Success and Onboarding
Each of our graduate programs has a Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) who serves as an important resource for graduate students, provides leadership in managing graduate programs, and is a vitally important point of contact between the Graduate School and the UT Faculty. Jennifer Ann Morrow, associate professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, will bring her experience as a DGS to creating an onboarding and support framework for faculty who take on this role. As the Graduate School Fellow for DGS Success and Onboarding, she will build upon existing processes and strategies. The goal is to ensure that when someone takes on this role, they are well-prepared and have access to ongoing support. The more preparation and support they have from the Graduate School, the more successful they will be in assisting their graduate students.
Bringing together the experience and knowledge of UT faculty and the graduate enrollment professionals in the Graduate School can only result in a higher level of graduate student success. The Graduate School is grateful for these fellows who are giving of their time and expertise to help us achieve our goal of providing a world-class educational experience for our graduate student Volunteers.
