Workshop on conducting research responsibly

The Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development (ORIED) will host an in-person Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Workshop on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in the Student Union’s Executive Dining Suite (Room 377A). This workshop will provide faculty, staff, and students with an overview of RCR topics, such as research conflicts of interest, mentorship, management and protection of research data, and more.

ORIED leadership will provide insight regarding RCR and the rapidly changing research environment. Additionally, staff and RCR Ambassadors will discuss how the University of Tennessee supports you in meeting your research integrity goals. This workshop fulfills responsible & ethical conduct of research/RCR training requirements for National Science Foundation and USDA National Institute of Food & Agriculture research projects. Investigators with National Institutes of Health RCR plans can use workshop to help meet the requirement for face-to-face instruction.

Lunch will be provided. Please register to attend.
