What is an ombuds and how can they help me “get unstuck” with challenges and conflicts I face at UT?
The Office of Ombuds Services helps to empower graduate students, staff, and faculty to constructively navigate challenges related to their experiences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In the Getting Unstuck interactive session, participants will be introduced to a range of free services from the Office of Ombuds Services, their perspectives on conflict as a tool for innovation, and their key approaches to navigating challenging situations.
No problem is too small or too big—they are here to help!
The Getting Unstuck online interactive presentation will also include scenarios of typical challenges brought to the Ombuds, the standards & ethics they follow, and how to access consultation, mediation, and educational services. Fifteen minutes will be reserved for Q&A.
The October session will be October 12 from 9:00 a.m.–9:45 a.m. If you cannot make it to this session, there are multiple sessions scheduled and you can register for the one that works best with your schedule.
