Digital Communications Graduate Assistantship

The Digital Communications team in UT’s Office of Communications and Marketing is seeking to fill a Graduate Student Assistant position with an anticipated start date of June 2023. This is a 12-month position which may be renewed. Compensation includes an annual stipend of $1,200 per month in addition to a tuition waiver. Health insurance is also provided.

This position is designed to give hands-on experience to a student interested in the fast-paced world of digital communications. The succesful candidate will work with various digital platforms to perform website administration, maintenance, usability testing, accessibility monitoring, and quality assurance. They will also assist with email preparation and distribution, in addition to creating documentation and training materials for various digital processes and best practices.

Basic knowledge of HTML coding, website design and development concepts, image editing, and typography is required. Familiarity with WordPress (content management system), Google Analytics, technical writing, and process documentation is preferred.

The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions, prioritize tasks, work with limited supervision, communicate (write) clearly, and work on multiple projects concurrently.
