The UT Libraries is seeking a Scholarly Communication Graduate Research Assistant to be involved with efforts in open educational resources and open access journal publishing, along with limited customer service support for the open institutional repository, TRACE.
The Libraries partner with many units and departments on campus as part of the Open Education Working Group and the Open Education Advisory Group, in order to encourage affordability and openness in course materials. The Scholars’ Collaborative is also home to V.O.L. Journals, the Libraries’ open access journal publishing program. We work closely with 12 journal editors as V.O.L. Journals publishing partners. The research assistant will participate in data gathering and analysis, provide support to authors, creators, and journal editors, update documentation, and frequently communicate with faculty and staff. This is a 12-month, 50% assistantship running from August 1, 2023 to July 31, 2024. Salary is $1,500.00/month, in addition to full tuition waiver.
