The Digital Communications team in UT’s Office of Communications and Marketing is seeking to fill a Graduate Student Assistant position with an anticipated start date of January 2022. This is a 12-month position which may be renewed. Compensation includes an annual stipend of $1,200 per month in addition to a tuition waiver. Health insurance is also provided.
This position is designed to give hands-on experience to a student interested in the fast-paced world of digital communications. The successful candidate will work with the university’s digital platforms and perform website administration, HTML email production, Google Analytics reporting, usability testing, accessibility monitoring, and quality assurance. They will also assist in creating documentation and training materials for various digital processes and best practices.
Basic knowledge of HTML coding, website design and development, image editing, typography, and data analysis using spreadsheets is required. Familiarity with technical writing or process documentation is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions, prioritize tasks, work with limited supervision, communicate (write) clearly, and work on multiple projects concurrently.
