Civil Engineering PhD Student Receives Scholarship

Cheng-pin Kuo, a PhD student in civil engineering, is using modeling and machine learning to improve air quality and benefit public health. His exceptional work has earned him the Environmental Management or Policy Research and Study Related to Air Quality scholarship from the Air and Waste Management Association (A&WMA) .

Kuo, who is studying under John D. Tickle Professor Joshua Fu, has received $2000 for tuition expenses, and was recognized at the A&WMA’s 114th Annual Conference and Exhibition. Learn more about Kuo’s research.
