The Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development (ORIED) is pleased to welcome Dr. Margaret Martonosi, Assistant Director, NSF Computer and Information Science & Engineering (CISE), for a virtual campus visit on Thursday, October 28, 1:00-3:00 PM EDT. Dr. Martonosi plans to hear input from the CISE community about their thoughts and ideas for CISE going forward. The visit will include a 40-minute CISE update/vision talk, 40 minutes for a discussion with faculty and 30 minutes to meet with a group of early-career faculty or graduate students.
The event is open to faculty and graduate students in relevant research areas, with the special note that CISE’s interests span many disciplines outside traditional science and engineering fields. ORIED would like to encourage attendees from educational, social science, and humanities fields whose research and scholarship relates to education and workforce development solutions and societal implications of technology applications (e.g., artificial intelligence).
If you plan to attend, please RSVP by September 10 at the following link so that you will receive the virtual meeting information: https://form.jotform.com/212164363684053.
