Vols Online Brown Bag Series – March 12

On March 12, the Vols Online Brown Bag Series continues with “Organizing Your Large Biology Classroom, Using Emergency Scenarioes to Acclimate Vet Students to the Culture of Professional Practice”.

In part 1, Dr. Meggan Graves from the College of Veterinary Medicine will discuss her use of Veterinary Emergency Treatment Scenarios (VETS). These engaging, online problem-solving scenarios provide consistency in student experiences, improve learning outcomes and instill confidence.

In part 2, Dr. Caroline Wienhold and Dr. Ben Keck, two instructors from the Division of Biology who teach as many as 250 students, will share lessons learned from working in the online space over the last year, including ideas on organizing Canvas to streamline communications while keeping students engaged and on track.
