Science Communication Webinar from the Alan Alda Center

It is important for researchers to be able to communicate their work to a wide variety of people, many of whom have never had experience with that field of study. Whether you are talking to journalists, your family, or some person you just met, developing the skill of clearly describing your work and making it compelling can be the difference between a successful conversation and an awkward silence.

The Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science is offering a free webinar called “A Guide to Speaking with Humans,” led by Paul Sutter. The webinar is on January 15 from 3-4:30 and you can register at the Alan Alda Center.

Graduate and professionals students are encouraged to make this a part of their professional development experience this spring. For more experience in research communication, consider attending any of our What’s Your Work About? sessions.
