International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the US Department of State and the US Department of Education is part of the efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.
There are events that may be of particular interest to graduate students:
- Why International Student Recruitment Matters—November 12, 3:30–5:00 p.m.
- Best Practices for Teaching International Students—November 14, 2:30–4:40 p.m.
- Language Practice Groups—Various times during the week
- Damon and Jo “Shut Up and Go”—November 12, 7:00 p.m.
But there are many other events to celebrate international education all week. Check out International House for the full schedule.
