Governor Haslam recently issued a proclamation that February 26 through March 2 of 2018 is Graduate Education Week throughout Tennessee. This week is to celebrate the contributions of graduate education to Tennessee. On Wednesday, February 28, the Tennessee Conference of Graduate Schools (TCGS) will be participating on the Day on the Hill. On this day, they will be present in Nashville to speak directly to legislators to showcase the research done by graduate students in institutions across Tennessee and demonstrate how graduate education has made a significant impact on the economic growth and stability of the state. Please join Governor Haslam, the TCGS, and the Graduate School at UT in observing this week. And look forward to Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week on April 2–6, when we will have the opportunity to show our sincere appreciation for all the great work our graduate students do.
