One-Day Workshop on Responsible Conduct of Research

The University of Tennessee Office of Research and Engagement (ORE) announces a one-day workshop to provide training in the responsible conduct of research (RCR). This workshop will take place on November 2, 2017 from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in 106 Panhellenic.

RCR instruction is targeted towards individuals preparing for careers as research scientists and those seeking to fulfill the professional development requirements pertaining to RCR mandated by federal funding agencies.

Representatives from across the campus research community will present on: collaborative research, culturally diverse mentoring, data management plans and best practices, acquiring and maintaining IRB approval at UT, and publication issues and best practices. Separate breakout sessions will be available for those who work with human subjects or conduct laboratory research, as well as an interactive discussion of real life research misconduct scenarios.

Lunch will be provided and ORE will distribute certificates of completion for use on CVs and application documents.
