MFA Student Abigail Lucien’s Work Shown at MOMA Exhibition

Abigail Lucien, a UT Knoxville MFA student has been selected for a group exhibition “Past Skin,” at the Museum of Modern Art’s PS1 contemporary exhibition space in Long Island City. The exhibition will run from April 9 – September 10, 2017. Curated by Jocelyn Miller, the “Past Skin” features six artists who take up science historian and cyber-feminist Donna Haraway’s provocation, “Why should our body end at the skin?,” testing the relationship between our bodies and a contemporary world in which we often exist in both virtual and imaginary spaces. Lucien, who spent her childhood living in Haiti and Florida, just completed her MFA this this semester with a concentration in printmaking.
