The Department of Food Science sent a team to the Collegiate Dairy Product Evaluation Contest, held in Madison, Wisconsin on April 12, 2017. One of the members of the UT 2017 Team is Katie Magee, a Master’s candidate in Food Science. She took home four prizes from this contest: 1st in Ice Cream, 2nd in Yogurt, 3rd in Cottage Cheese, and 1st in All Products. Michael Luethke, an undergraduate, received 2nd in Milk and 1st in Cottage Cheese. In the team competitions, the 2017 team received: 1st in All Products, 3rd in Yogurt, 2nd in Milk, 3rd in Cheddar Cheese, 1st in Ice Cream, and 1st in Cottage Cheese.
