The African American Trailblazer Award will be presented to Wardell Milan, a graduate of the School of Art at the University of Tennessee, now working in New York City. The Trailblazer Award, sponsored by the Commission for Blacks, recognizes and honors the accomplishments of African Americans affiliated with the University of Tennessee who are trailblazers in their disciplines or within the fields of diversity, inclusion, and social justice.
