CIE Taking Faculty, Staff, Graduate and Undergraduate Students to China in the Summer

This summer, the Center for International Education will take a group of faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students to Southeast University in Nanjing, China to participate in the UTK-SEU English Immersion Summer Camp. Southeast University is UT’s Confucius partner and one of China’s top universities.

Dates of the camp are June 24th–July 8th. UT’s teaching team will work with about 300 university students to help them develop English conversational skills and learn about American culture in a casual and fun classroom environment. Evenings and weekends are free for exploration of Nanjing and sightseeing excursions planned by SEU.

Teachers (which includes graduate students) will stay in a modern, university-owned hotel on campus and a meal card is provided for on-campus meals. A teaching stipend will be paid at the end of camp; personal costs are the flight and visa. Previous teaching experience is not required but applicants must be native English speakers.
