The Math and Science Center Upward Bound is looking for faculty and teaching assistants who would be interested in working with their programs during the summer of 2017. With over 30 years of experience on UT’s campus, the Math and Science Center’s programs are dedicated to working with highly motivated high school students from economically disadvantaged families where neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree. At this time, they are searching for exceptional research mentors for their 6-week summer component from June 5th–July 7th. Research mentors for the Math and Science Center are needed in a variety of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields in order for students to conduct scientific research with mentors, with the finished project to be presented at the Annual Scientific Poster Symposium. Download the application and information packet or contact Leigh Ann Elkins at firstname.lastname@example.org or 865-974-4466 to find out more. Deadline for applications is March 20th.
