Welcome Back for Spring 2017!

We at the Graduate School look forward to helping you to have a productive and exciting spring 2017 semester. We’re here to help and inform you, so if you have questions about your graduate career, please don’t hesitate to contact us at gradschool@utk.edu or 865-974-2475 and we’ll get you in touch with the right person to assist you. Or if you want to drop by our offices at 111 Student Services, we’ll be glad to meet you!

The Graduate School website will continue to be updated with news for graduate students, including funding opportunities, upcoming workshops, spotlights on graduate student research, and important deadlines for graduation. Check back for the latest!

If you’re not following the Graduate Student Senate on Twitter (@UTK_GSS), we encourage you to do so. Your Graduate Student Senate is the branch of the Student Government Association that serves as the official voice for graduate and professional students at UT. Many programs have representatives to give you a hand. Throughout the semester, they plan town hall meetings, socials, and other events for the graduate and professional student community.

As you’re getting your calendars set for the semester, be aware that Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week will be April 3-7. The Graduate School, the Graduate Student Senate, Tennessee Teaching and Learning Center, the UT Libraries and many others are working to provide many opportunities during that week. Keep an eye out for announcements about these events.

For those who are preparing to graduate in spring 2017, be sure to check the graduation deadlines  and get your forms turned in. And keep an eye out for an email from the Graduate School about how to RSVP for the Spring 2017 Graduate Hooding Ceremony, where you can celebrate your achievement with friends, family and faculty.

Have a great spring semester! Go Vols!
