Dealing with Difficult Conversations

The UT Libraries Diversity Committee, in conjunction with the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Diversity and Inclusion, is hosting a series of facilitated lunchtime discussions about how to comfortably dialogue about diversity and inclusion. The discussions are open to all. On November 9, 2016, from noon–1 p.m. in Hodges Library, Room 605, Becky Jacobs will lead a session that will focus on practical tips for preparing for, initiating, and handling potentially unpleasant exchanges in a way that hopefully will minimize negative consequences, improve understanding, and strengthen relationships. Find out more about this session at the UT Libraries.
