Hooding Faculty
Faculty who have been invited by their doctoral candidate to act as hooder should proceed to the Ray Mears Room in the Arena. Hooding faculty should arrive in academic regalia by 3:30 p.m. and find their doctoral student. Directional signs will be posted in numerous areas around the Arena prior to the start of the ceremony. After the stage party and non-hooding faculty have been seated, Hooding Faculty will process in with their doctoral candidate and be seated by college.
Non-hooding Faculty
Faculty wishing to participate in the Graduate Hooding Ceremony but are not hooding a doctoral student should plan to arrive by 3:30 p.m. Please arrive in academic regalia for this ceremony and proceed to Dressing Room #2, the room adjacent to the stage party room. Graduate School staff will be present to assist and position faculty in the academic processional. Non-hooding faculty will process in behind the stage party and be seated behind the doctoral candidates and hooders.
Stage Party
Those who have been invited to participate as part of the stage should arrive by 3:30 p.m. and proceed to Dressing Room #3.
