Caroline Black Named Recipient of the 2017 Jimmy and Ileen Cheek Graduate Student Medal of Excellence Award

Caroline Black, a graduate student in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering, has been named recipient of the 2017 Jimmy and Ileen Cheek Graduate Student Medal of Excellence award. The award is presented annually to an outstanding student pursuing a PhD who has completed at least four semesters of study. Black is pursuing her PhD in biomedical engineering under the guidance of her advisor, Assistant Professor Caleb Rucker. The award will be presented to Black at the Chancellor’s Honor Banquet on April 11.
